Tapestry Australia

by Jules on April 23

We are excited to announce our new website for Tapestry Australia! Over the last year we have had two Tapestry representatives living and working in Australia, talking to and learning from early years specialists and educators. Our developers have adapted the tried and tested features of Tapestry to meet the requirements of the Early Years Learning Framework. The EYLF is now available on Tapestry to support your good practice as you teach and learn with young children and their families.

We also have a brand new feature called ‘Reflections’. This is designed to support all aspects of reflective practice, providing a space to record your reflections, link observations, plan any related action and follow the impact on teaching and learning in your setting.

Education Advisor and Content Editor

After graduating from Cambridge University with a degree in English Literature (the sole aim of which was to read as many novels as possible, a habit she has never managed to kick) Jules qualified as a teacher at UCL Institute of Education and taught in both schools and nurseries. She had a children’s picture book published, wrote articles for the Foundation Stage Forum and managed to acquire a family and too many pets. The FSF and Tapestry team finally agreed to take her on for real in 2018. For a while she provided product support as well as being an education advisor, and then she took on the role of content editor for all things FSF and Tapestry. Jules is very happy because every day she gets to do two of the things she loves most - thinking about education and playing with words. She also answers to ‘Juliet’.
