Tapestry provides you with clear and insightful tools for monitoring children’s progress
You can see where each of your children are in relation to outcomes of Approved Learning Frameworks at the touch of a button. Quick and easy to use during your programming and inquiry time, the screens can help you to create a curriculum for extending learning or focusing on new areas of learning, as well as discussing the distance travelled by children with their families. These screens can be used as part of your ongoing practices for assessment and evaluation.
Through the assessments you make on Tapestry, you can spend less time doubling up on work so that you can spend more time doing the important things, such as being with the children to facilitate their learning.
Tracking screens are currently available for the EYLF, Developmental Milestones, VEYLDF and Montessori.
Single child observations
Record each child's achievements and special moments using written descriptions and media.
Multiple approved learning frameworks
Monitor against approved learning frameworks and link the sub-outcomes to children’s learning in observations.
Use #hashtags in observations to identify key-phrases such as ‘#childinitiated’ or specific focus points e.g. #behaviour, as well as for categorising observations e.g. ‘#term1project’.
Keep track of each child's assessed scores in various learning frameworks.
Engage in Reflective practice, contributing to a reflective journal for children and staff, as well as for the service as a whole for QIP.
Suggested next Montessori activities
Tapestry offers suggestions of which activities a child may be presented next based on the assessments made so far.
